Producer-Engineer-Mixer Danny Kadar cut his teeth in the cutting-edge rock and alternative worlds of ’90s New York before heading South in the 2000s. He honed his craft at Baby Monster, a studio at the heart of the Downtown NYC music scene. Moving to Sony Studios as a Staff Engineer, Danny mixed a multitude of new albums and reissues for Sony Studios. Later he was Chief Engineer at Echo Mountain in Asheville for 5 years.  He is best known for his production and recording work with the likes of My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, the Avett Brothers, Iggy Pop and Chris Whitley, but has also worked on tracks by artists as diverse as G. Love, Grizzly Bear, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Trey Anastasio, Cheap Trick, Dinosaur Jr., Ornette Coleman and Billy Joel. The man Sony trusts to handle its classic material brings the same skills to the table when helping an emerging group find its sound in the studio. Danny’s sweeping experience, command of the console, sonic creativity and collaborative approach have established him as a state-of-the-art recording professional tackling freelance projects from around the world.
